These are things that I have found
to be true as I have gone though life:
- Family always comes first.
- There has never been a dinner created that couldn't be
  made better with the addition of red wine.
- It isn't all about money.
- You can only completely trust people with the same last name as yours.
- The brevity of life on earth encourages us to appreciate it.
- Never use colors straight from the tube.
- Kids hear the darndest things, then say them.
- You become what you spend your time doing.
- My parents are smarter than I thought.
- The difference between being good and being great is practice.
- Your talent is your gift from God, what you do with it is your gift to God.
- Some things are worth fighting for, freedom being one of them.
- I have never met a woman with as much wit as my wife.
- It's easy to describe the leaves in autumn, and it's also easy in
  the spring, but down through January and February, it's
  a very different thing.
- Mrs. Thompson was a great teacher..
- The more sunrises and sunsets I see,
  the more I am sure of the existence of God.
- My children have made me better than I was before.
- Dogs are better than people at a lot of things.
- If the weather was better here, I couldn't afford my mortgage payment.
- Knowledge is good, but experience is what makes the best teachers.
- Sometimes bad things happen for the best.
- If I knew then what I know now, I'd still have a lot to learn.
- Trout are not as smart as I make them appear,
  they do have great instincts, however.
- Riding a bike is a joy.
- If you don't put your cheek on the stock, you will probably miss.
- Trust your bird dog... they are usually right.
- Getting hit by a car hurts.
- Brushes are better than mice.
- Acrylics dry too quickly, oils too slowly. Nothing is perfect.
- Edges are very important.
- Transitions need to be painted with respect.
- 10,000 meters is too long for a track race.
- How come Congress can opt out of social security and we can't?
